The Cultural Centre is an integral part of the South Bank precinct which, with its parklands, dining and shopping provides an urban oasis for people to enjoy our sub-tropical climate.
It is testament to our Government's commitment to building a creative, innovative and dynamic Queensland.
The Cultural Centre is made up of four arts statutory authorities: the Queensland Performing Arts Centre; the State Library of Queensland; the Queensland Museum South Bank; and the Queensland Art Gallery/Gallery of Modern Art.
The Cultural Centre is managed by Arts Queensland, part of the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. Arts Queensland is the arts funding body for the Queensland Government and is dedicated to supporting and growing Queensland's vibrant and innovative arts by promoting a diverse, dynamic, creative culture; strengthening partnerships and collaboration; and capitalising on Queensland's unique strengths and characteristics.
